Over the weekend the SNL cast member and BYU President’s wife were seen cozying up at the Creighton game. The former was wearing a trendy gray sweatshirt and glasses, while Worthen was dressed down for the event. Although, she still sported a classy string of pearls. 

The pair appeared to be enjoying the game despite BYU’s loss. 

Worthen’s husband, BYU President Kevin Worthen, who has not posted a picture of his wife in half a decade, was not present at the game. At the time he was in Provo, making preparations for the end of the semester. 

When asked what this appearance means, Peggy Worthen said, “Pete and I are just good friends who share a passion for basketball, that’s it.”

Many in the BYU community weighed in on the topic. 

“Honestly, good for Peggy,” said sophomore Emmaline Brighton, “she deserves to let off a little steam.”

BYU superfan Tyce Malakai was a bit more concerned, “Does this mean mommy and daddy- I mean Brother and Sister Worthen are getting divorced?”

Malakai’s question remains unanswered, along with the question of how to make a ship name for two people whose names begin with the same letters.
