At the heart of global engagement at Brigham Young University is the acclaimed David M. Kennedy Center for International Studies. As more and more students are participating in study abroad programs every year, the institution has announced a brand new program that will take students to Turkey to study hair and scalp health–as well as receive hair transplants for many a balding cougar.
BYU President C. Shane Reese shared:
“Our goal at BYU is to raise up generations of capable, intelligent, and well rounded individuals. As a fail-safe, we will also offer a chance at pretty hair.”
Students are ecstatic at this opportunity. Engineering major B. Les Bawlder applied to the program within 2 minutes of applications opening. He said,
“For years I thought that balding was just my cross to bear, but now I know it was just a test of faith.”
Other students are just genuinely looking forward to learning more about hair health and other dermatological applications in the Middle East. Senior Jerome Dome shared his perspective:
“Dude, I am NOT bald! I’m just really interested in scalp health…and also Turkey…”
It’s a good day to be bald at Brigham Young.
