Man Has Crisis of Faith After Getting +4’d Six Times in a Row in Uno

Earlier this week, our team received a tip regarding a student doubting his faith after a traumatic experience the night before. Hoping to learn more and shed some light on a typically undiscussed issue on campus, we rushed to the scene.

As we arrived at Helaman Halls where this student lived, we almost immediately identified him. Greg Daniels stared off into the wall with a contemplative stare in the common area. He sat deep in thought in the cramped couch that was used for last night’s Uno game for FHE.

“It all happened so fast”, said Greg when we interviewed him. “All the screams and laughter were a symphony of spite as the +4 cards kept coming” his voice broke as he finished the sentence. He wiped a single tear from his eyes. “I feel so lost, how could a loving God allow such cruelty?”

A few days later, we had the opportunity to speak to Greg’s New Testament teacher. He sighed when asked about Greg’s condition. “Yeah, it’s bad. The trauma is affecting his grades now, he can’t read past Matthew 4 because of the chapter number. I hope some time will give him a chance to heal.”
