BYU Professor Spends Final Class of the Semester Telling His Students They are “Terrible” and “Will Never Succeed”

After wrapping up the last of class business in the first 15 minutes of the lecture, Dr. Joe Jorgenson reportedly got very serious and said he had some parting thoughts for the students in his PSYCH 310 class.

Rhea Zollinger, one of the students, said that she thought that his parting thoughts would be “inspirational” or offer some advice going forward in her academic career.

This was not the case.

“He just insulted us for the last hour of class,” said Zollinger. “I was too stunned to speak.”

She continued, “at one point someone got up to leave, but Dr. Jorgenson just went totally silent and glared at him until he sat back down.”

Ultimately, the students all stayed for the full hour or berating, during which Jorgenson didn’t let up once.

Zollinger said, “afterward, no one said anything, we all just gathered our stuff and left.” She added, “honestly I’m too scared to even take the final at this point.”

Jorgenson reportedly said, “you all were the worst class I’ve ever had, if any of you pass, it will be a miracle, don’t expect a curve, and don’t expect good things in life.”

“In my defense,” Jorgenson said to the Alternate Universe, “every word was true.”
