AJ Dybantsa Debunked

Thought you were BYU basketball literate? Think again. Here’s a list of 6 facts you thought you knew about AJ that actually aren’t true.

  1. AJ is 6’9”
False. AJ is actually 6’2”, which means you are actually 5’10”.
  2. AJ Dybantsa has been cast as the lead for Space Jam 3: A New Hope
Though we agree this would have been awesome, Warner Bros will be moving forward with their decision to cast Barack Obama instead.
  3. AJ is the king of Mars
Shocking as it may seem, AJ is not the king of Mars; in fact, Mars crowned its queen by the name of Candace Flynn in 2008.
  4. AJ Dybantsa was born in Brockton, Massachusetts
AJ was originally born in Antarctica as a rockhopper penguin with big dreams. Upon competing in the Big Z Memorial Surf Off, he fell off his surfboard, died in the ocean, and reincarnated as an American basketball player.
  5. BYU will pay AJ 6M to play on their team this next season
Alternatively, AJ will be paid exclusively in cougar cash and dining dollars.
  6. AJ was one of the original Greek Gods
This is by far one of the biggest false assumptions. We conducted in-depth research, however, and turns out, he’s just a guy!
