Kaufusi vetos mask mandate, wants to attend “just one more Provo rager” before the end of the world

After the Provo City Council unanimously passed on a mandatory mask law on Tuesday, Provo Mayor Michelle Kaufusi threatened to veto the ordinance.
“Come on guys, I just really want to rage the Provo way: no masks, no alcohol, and no rules except those dictated by the honor code!” said Kaufusi in an official statement.
Kaufusi also noted that her platform focuses specifically on “fighting for your right to party”. She said that to vote for the mask mandate would be hypocritical, and that she wants the Provo party scene to increase.
“You can still have fun with masks on! Have you guys ever heard of a zoom party? …no?” said City Council member Komun Cents.
Kaufusi has refused to acknowledge city council members. The ordinance will be assessed at a meeting on Thursday night.
