General Authorities Break for Easter Festivities Between Conference Sessions

General conferences of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints take place every six months, on the first Sunday of October and April. This year, the 2021 April General Conference happened to overlap and occur on Easter Sunday. As a result, members of the church had the unique pleasure of celebrating two highly religious events on the same day.

Between the 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. conference sessions, the general authorities of the church began by dying easter eggs together and debriefing from the morning session. Leaders were overheard complimenting each other on the talks given and offering advice for those speaking in the afternoon. They proceeded to gather outside of the conference center for an Easter egg hunt, which featured an excellent Easter bunny impersonator.

During the hunt, accusations of misconduct were made by a few leaders- including Elder Bednar, who accused President Nelson of using divine revelation to cheat. However, the tensions and gossip were quickly resolved with the help of the bunny impersonator, who’s day job happened to be as a licensed therapist.

We’re being told that due to multiple continued claims of a “rigged” competition, the count for who collected the most eggs is still ongoing. But while the general authorities wait for the results of the recount, President Nelson seems to be happy with the overall outcome of the Easter celebrations.

“Eh, it’s mostly Cadbury crap- but TWO of the eggs that had a dollar bill in them were revealed unto me,” he was overheard beaming to President Oaks.

With bellies full of chocolate and jellybeans, as well as an encouraging pep talk from the Easter bunny, church leaders were well equipped to enter the afternoon and final session of the April 2021 General Conference.
