If you’ve been following the Alternate Universe lately, you’ve seen the alarming news that Cosmo, as well as eleven other mascots were abducted.

While this was devastating for the community, it wasn’t long before BYU made its comeback. In a shocking turn of events, Gay Mountain, who came out last year, rose to the occasion. Through intense seismic activity, Gay Mountain defeated the mascot’s abductor, Vecna, rescued the beloved cougar, and saved Provo from being destroyed forever.

In the first ever seismographic interview, the Alternate Universe asked Gay Mountain about their experience:

“Of course I was afraid of what Vecna would think of a gay mountain. But I knew I had to try for Cosmo. I think in saving him, I saved myself.”

Cosmo (after coughing up mysterious substances) added:

“I’m just so glad that our mountain had the courage to be themself. My life actually depended on them having good self esteem.”

Provo is lucky to have such good examples of self love and perseverance. The sheer amount of trauma healing has left Vecna gurgling faintly in the distance.

Once again, love wins in the end.
