This morning, BYU student Carter Smith won 3 million dollars after kicking a ball.
During the ESPN Game Day broadcast at Heritage Halls, Smith had the chance to kick a field goal to win money. Three billionaires present at the event each put up $1 million if he made it. Smith’s ball sailed through the field goal, and BYU fans erupted in cheers.
This life-changing sum will change the young man’s life forever. We asked Smith how he plans on spending his money.
“55 BURGERS! 55 FRIES! 55 TACOS! 55 PIES! 55 COKES! 100 TATERTOTS 100 PIZZAS! 100 CHICKEN TENDERS! 100 MEATBALLS! 55 CHICKEN WINGS! 55 SHAKES! 55 PANCAKES! 55 PASTA! 55 PEPPERS! AND 155 BAKED TATERS!” was his immediate response.
After that large order, Smith plans to drop out of college to pursue his dream of sitting around and doing nothing.
“My mom said I should donate some money to charity or something stupid like saving the Great Salt Lake. Boring!” he said. Smith plans to put his money toward more important things, like buying several Cybertrucks and taking a trip to space for no reason.
“I’m so glad to know that billionaires are putting their money toward things that really matter!” said James Patterson, a fan present at the Game Day event.
“I should kick balls more often!” Carter Smith said, with tears in his eyes. “I’m going to Disney World! Yipee!” he yelled as he skipped away from our reporters.
