The air quality in Utah was thought to have gotten worse from recent fires, but Provo residents insist on the idea that the poor air quality is simply another hoax, much like COVID-19.
“We all know that social distancing doesn’t do anything,” said Jared Wright, a BYU student studying environmental science. “The reason why the air was thought to be bad was because the government just flew their drone-birds around to create confusion. They’re trying to drive us inside, but we can’t let that happen.”
According to Jared, the fires in Utah County were merely simulations, which has drawn another comparison to the worldwide pandemic hoax.
“I can’t believe that people really believe that the air is full of smoke,” said Tyler Rich, another BYU student studying wildlife. “I couldn’t see Timpanogos from my window before, anyway, so that should be a clear sign that all the bad air quality was a lie. Just wait until elections– this ‘bad air’ will be gone by then.”
Despite the number of coughs, event cancellations, and smog that has reached everywhere, many Provo residents believe that the air quality incidents were just fabrications. Provo has continued to turn a blind eye to numerous large gatherings, as the air quality and COVID are nothing to worry about, according to those living there.
