In light of recent drama within BYU athletics, it should come as no surprise that another scandal has been brewing in secret right here in Provo. Clay Baker, a finance student from springville Utah, is currently under investigation by the Honor Code Office after admitting to having a “mancrush” on BYU basketball star AJ Dybantsa.
“The purity of our students is our utmost priority” says a statement released by the Honor Code Office, “The AJ thirsttraps seemed innocent at first, but we’re concerned that Clay is liking Dybantsa’s game a little too much. We will continue to monitor the situation to ensure that Baker returns to flirting exclusively with freshman girls as is customary.”
The Honor Code office was not the only one to take notice of Baker’s abnormal behavior. Clay’s roommate made the following comment:
“Clay has been acting mega sus recently, ngl. I mean, I didn’t even know they sold AJ Dybantsa body pillows.
“Oh, AJ? Naw, I mean like, it’s not like THAT.” Baker said to AltU reporters. ”I just… like, I mean he’s just so athletic and his shoulders are really built but like… he’s just so passionate, you know… about the game I mean, and…”
While Clay’s future with BYU remains to be seen, one thing is clear: the Honor Code office has a lot of work to do before these streets can be considered squeaky clean once more.
