Ed Sheeran, the music industry’s latest public target, has been effectively shamed off of his own tour, giving the musician no choice but to unite with BYU’s favorite boy band to save face. 

The “Photograph” singer was seen last week knocking on doors in the Music Building, looking for someone who could get him out of the pickle he’s found himself in. Luckily, he was lured in by the dulcet tones of the VP boys doing their warm ups.

Vocal Point director Brock A. Pella recalled: 

“There was a little ginger guy outside our practice room saying something about needing a job. I couldn’t just leave him standing there.”

After an a cappella rendition of “Shape of You”, Vocal Point welcomed Sheeran to the team with open arms. Member Barry Tone said:

“Ed fits in really well. We’re working on an arrangement of ‘Castle on the Hill’ that’s about the temple.”

Sheeran seems to be enjoying himself, as well. He told the press:

“When I asked them how they felt about Palestine they had no idea what I was talking about so I felt pretty safe.”
