After each morning session of General Conference, the Church airs a message inviting first-time viewers to come learn more. This time around, they elected for a more direct approach than the usual sister missionary can offer.

We were able to overhear part of the message as it was being filmed on Friday.

“Hey. You enjoy the show? If you like what you see, be sure to check out churchofjesuschrist.org for more,” said Sydney Sweeney.

A think tank tasked with finding creative ways to bring in new members approached President Dallin H. Oaks directly with the idea. He hesitantly agreed after some persuasion.

Projections indicate that this approach will, at the very least, appeal significantly more to white Utahns.
